Shapes and colours
Diamonds can be manufactured in all shapes and sizes! However, certain cuts are more common than others, and all come with their own unique features and characteristics. Whether you’re looking for a clean cushion cut or a perfect princess, our artisans at Millennium are equipped with the skills and knowledge to deliver the very best results.
As for their colouring, diamonds can be rather versatile! GIA’s universally established colour scale measures standard diamond colours. This scale ranges from D (colourless) right through to Z (light yellow or slightly brown), with D being the highest possible grading. If you have further questions about how the GIA colour grading system works, please don’t hesitate to contact us!
What about fancy colour diamonds, though?
Diamonds graded beyond Z on GIA’s scale are considered incredibly rare specimens and are referred to as “fancy colour” diamonds. Think blues, intense yellows, pinks, oranges, greens and even shades of red! These gems may be of exceptionally high value depending on the strength and purity of their colour! It’s important to note, however, that many fancy colour diamonds are often muted and washed out, which makes their vivid counterparts all the more special!
